Is federalism final destination of all countries?; Is Federalism the only solution for the development of countries? He also talked about the inter-state and intra-state conflicts in the Federalism. In the interview, Dr. Pokhrel talked about the sensitivities of communal, identity, and cultural differences and in many cases, like in Nigeria these differences may transfer into conflict. He spoke the clear concept about the decentralization of rights, cultural identity rights, responsibilities, tax, and budgets into providences and municipalities. Restructuring of the states should be based on the resources, and respectful approach to language and culture. Federalism is for the respectful position of all caste and cultural people in the societies and it is for the integration of societies not for creating the fraction within and among communities. We need to understand the examples of cultural and identity conflict in countries such as Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Ache, and others so that similar types of conflicts will not erupt in Nepal during the restructuring of states or later in future. |
